Tea and Doodles

Following on from the previous post, I was inspired by the boat's wear and tear 'drawing' to do a little bit of meditative drawing. I had my pen and a blank page in hand and I just felt the movements through the pen. Interesting movements and patterns resulted. And I just added more detail and incorporated the lines of the surface cracks.

         On a summer school class at Glasgow School of Art, we were asked what we thought 'accidental drawings' were. I hesitated in answering, I didn't have a clue how to answer! When the tutor showed us a mark on the wall, it all clicked and I spent the rest of the day looking for these drawings around the city.               Here are some others, wear and tear on a boat as well as Nature's drawings:

I'm blogging again. This time I have to be accountable as I've gone back to studying whilst working part-time. I'm aiming for a BA in Painting but I am, to be honest, just enjoying the ride. So I hope that means I'll keep it up! A learning log is necessary...I'm a hand writer by choice but submitting hard copies of my learning notes is just less convenient. So here is the beginning of my online learning. I've just completed an AS Level in Fine Art, so my first news will be the result on 17th August. See you on the journey...
